Resveratrol Genesis

Resveratrol Genesis

Has anyone heard of Resveratrol?

I found this seemingly amazing anti-aging drink with Resveratrol called Genesis X’tranol 24. It’s like a cure all, fountain of youth. I want to read some success stories.

Resveratrol comes from plants. Certain red wines contain it. It is of interest for study in the last few years especially, but not much can be said about it definitely just yet.
Mayo Clinic’s web site talks about it in a favorable way, but reminds us that most of the studies have been in animals.
Lots of hoped for outcomes are discussed. Might help lower cholesterol, might help with heart disease, might prevent blood clots, might reduce obesity. You get the picture.
One respected writer about health, Bill Sardi, has taken an interest in it. He even has gone to the unusual step (for Bill) of working with some folks to make a product with it.
There is some suspicion that it might help with cancer.
About a week back I listened to a lecture from my favorite video source, videocast.nih.gov from a lady who had done some testing with mice and a cancer. The type of cancer chosen was a drug resistant type and she was hopeful that it might do something. As sometimes happens with research, the results were not good. The amount of resveratrol had to increased to a point where it caused toxicity in the animal before it showed a benefit. Now, this does not mean it couldn’t have some benefits with people for some other things, but just shows an example of what happens in the real world.
Quite frankly, if I was going to use it, I would probably find Bill Sardi’s version to try. I do not endorse it or use it at this time. I can say with certainty that it is not a cure all or a fountain of youth. But I also cannot rule out that it will show some health benefits someday and may become part of a protocol diet for an undetermined disease.
I took a peek at the website you mentioned. Ellagic acid and tannins are known molecules in botanicals. I am not aware of dramatic effects that they would have for you.
Take a look at your local grocer or wine merchant for alcohol free red wine (resveratrol). Buy some cranberries, raspberries, or strawberries (ellagic acid). Buy some tea (for tannins). And look for low sodium V8 for antioxidants. These products will cost a lot less than the Genesis product and may just give you the identical effect. Or not. Choice is all yours. Good luck.
